Virginia Voters Approve Mid-Decade Redistricting Plan

Yesterday, Virginia voters narrowly approved a constitutional amendment to allow lawmakers to directly implement a new Congressional map. The result could flip four Republican-held seats. 

Check out this video in my recent redistricting series to hear my take on whether mid-decade redistricting is ever warranted. My short answer is: it depends. However, I ultimately believe there should be a federal law that prohibits mid-decade redistricting.
